The design of the book is adorable. It’s very simple and to the point. The topic ideas throughout the book are the main focus of the page in a bold font that you can’t miss, which makes it incredibly easy to flip through and find a topic that interests you.
Fall is my favorite season, but unfortunately in Florida, fall isn’t really a thing— at least not at home down in South Florida. I’m not entirely sure how fall is here in Gainesville, but so far it’s been very hot! Whenever I think of the fall, I think of when I was younger and lived in New York. I think of playing outside with my younger cousins in the nice, crisp weather. I think of Halloween and having to wear turtlenecks under my costumes because by the time October 31st rolled around, it was getting pretty chilly. The fall is truly one of my favorite seasons and not just because my birthday is during the season either!
Ah, I’m so excited! I just got home from a long day of school to find this baby at my front door – Dana Fox’s ‘365 Blog Topic Ideas.’
So, as you may have read in my first blog post, I’ve wanted to start blogging for quite some time now but didn’t feel as if I were creative enough to do so. And while I got the inspiration and motivation to actually start blogging because of one of the courses I’m required to take for my major, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to get this book.
I came across this book when reading the blog thewonderforest. This is the first book the blog’s owner has published and because I love her blog so much I ultimately decided to pick up the book. I figured it would be great for when I’m stuck on ideas for posts and figured it could be a good guide as to what I could/should post since I’ve just started.
Hello! I have finally decided to set this blog up and actually put it to use. My previous blog on Tumblr (which is still available to look at) wasn’t as personal as I expect this blog to be- it mainly entailed me looking at and reblogging cute photos of clothes and shoes and seeing funny, whimsical posts.
Starting to blog is something I’ve been wanting to do for an extremely long time now, but never had the drive to actually go through with it for multiple reasons. For one, I never knew what I could or would post. I sit and read others blogs for hours upon hours about how to craft certain things, how to wear clothes in a certain way, blogs revolved around home decor— I love home decor! These blogs would post about things I knew I could potentially post about myself, but I never found myself to be ‘interesting’ enough to blog. I’m also moderately OCD when it comes to web design (which is why I ended up finding a very cute premade template to use for now). The thought of sitting and designing my own theme and coding it gave me MAJOR anxiety. I knew I wouldn’t be happy until it was perfect! And lastly— I never thought of myself as being the best writer. So I figured if I were to start blogging, I would make a mockery of myself.
